The residence is located in Kathmandu, Nepal and the design draws inspiration from the linear sloping roof Newari House in the valley. The design is extremely transparent to allow natural light and is focused on a linear central space that opens to the outside on both the sides. A bridge in the center of the space connects the bedroom spaces on the first floor and animates the space below. Steel and glass along with local bricks are the primary materials used in this project.
