This is a weekend house and studio for artist Abbas Batliwaala, located in the outskirts of Udaipur. The land has a substantial slope and the aim was to create two contrasting engagements with this landscape condition. On one side of the studio, the spaces are constrained and they move up and down with the slope eventually leading to the entrance. The other side of the studio is very different as a wooden deck just glides through the undulating terrain leading to a different experience of landscape.
